Ellen Liu

Ellen Liu is a pianist, organist, accompanist, and music educator with extensive experience in performance, teaching, and church music. She began piano lessons at a young age and was accepted into a gifted music program through middle and high school in Taiwan. While living in Taiwan, she toured in China, Hong Kong, Macau, the United States, and Brazil with professional ensembles. She has also appeared in solo piano recitals and accompanied musicians in recitals, competitions and concerts. Her background includes church music leadership, college teaching, and many years of private piano instruction and collaborative performance. She holds a Master of Fine Art in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Houston and received her bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan, with a minor in music theory and composition.
