Guitar and Ukulele

Ryan teaches private lessons in guitar and ukulele.

Ryan O’Neal is a Guitarist and Ukulelist who emphasizes good technique in his teaching. He does this while also ensuring that the fire of passion for music and your instrument is kept well-fed. With 12 years of experience on guitar and 5 years of experience on Ukulele, Ryan is ready to help you play the songs you’ve dreamed of playing!

Two things inspired him to pick up the guitar. Guitar hero and his dad! After countless hours of competition on guitar hero with his cousin and rides in the car with his dad blasting AC/DC, Aerosmith, Van Halen, and Nirvana, Ryan was ready to play for real.

He started lessons at the age of 11 and joined a summer battle of the bands program called Live It Out Loud at 13. This catapulted him into a life of music and led him to meet his band mates that he would play with from 8th grade all the way to the end of high school.

He and his band played a range of styles from Hard rock, metal, and pop punk. Their years together allowed to play all over the state of Washington in places like Seattle, Bremerton, Port Orchard, Tacoma, and more. Being in a band has allowed him to hone his skills in songwriting and arranging.

Continuing in College at the Berklee College of Music, Ryan has a Bachelor’s of music in songwriting with a minor in creative entrepreneurship. Now freshly graduated, he is ready to put his skills to use in serving and sharing with others the things he has learned.

Ryan is also starting a waitlist now for students who would like to study with him on Mondays from 9AM-4PM at TIA Seattle/Burien.
