We have multiple labs meeting Monday through Friday that are ongoing at the moment. If you have a child with experience on the piano, one of our labs may be a fit for them, whether they are a novice or an experienced player. Drop us a line to find out if one of our labs may be a fit for you. We would be happy to do an assessment as well to see where you may best fit.
We believe that music is purposed to be made in community. Private lessons are great, but musicians need to learn to make music together, to play together in rhythm, in harmony, in unison, and in tune. And music is so much fun like that. We want people to experience the joy of music making in community! Our small group classes are much more like master class than what you may think of when you read the words group class. Even our largest groups are still smaller than most classes (no more than 8-10 students). But most of our small group classes have between 3-6 students in them and become sweet close-knit little master classes where we get to know each other real well, learn in community, and have a whole lot of fun!
Piano Labs
Learn to play the piano in a fun, high energy, small group environment taught by a conservatory trained musician and educator with over twenty years’ experience as an educator and professional musician. Ideal for ages 7-10, SD teaches about ten piano classes a week, loves doing it, has a blast every time, and his students are all doing consistently great work. Piano lab is a great entry way in to music and the piano.
Piano Lab is our most popular class, time-tested and proven successful. Many of our piano lab students are excelling in piano and having a blast after just a few months! Some of these classes have been together for years! Ideal for students 7-10, Piano Lab is perfect for families looking for a budget friendly option without sacrificing quality. In fact, with TIA Piano Labs you get conservatory quality music education in a super fun community environment for just about half what you would pay in many places for private lessons.
Note to parents: You know your children best, these classes do require basic music notation reading. We will teach your kids to do this, but it does take focus, tracking, and a bit of work/practice at home. If you are unsure if they may be ready, give us a call, we would be happy to try to meet up sometime before you sign up if possible.
