Joshua is a pianist and award-winning composer from right here in the South Puget Sound. He is proficient in jazz, classical, and worship music and holds a Bachelor’s in Musical Arts from Pacific Lutheran University. Joshua has spent the last few years performing around the Seattle-Tacoma area with a jazz quintet. In fact, you may hear him next time you are out at a restaurant with live music!
Joshua a jazz guy, which means he is super cool, and he’s passionate about connecting students with the power of music and discovering the joy of music.
Joshua is a down to earth, personable guy, and teaches at TIA Seattle (Burien) on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Joshua also teaches at TIA Olympia on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Esther is a passionate high school graduate of 2023 (4.0 student). She has been playing piano for most of her youth and even teaching piano for four years. Esther is fluent in English and Vietnamese, and also speaks Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean and is a very community minded and service oriented teenager!
She is a choir section leader; she volunteers in an after school kid’s club, and she has years of experience as a volunteer church pianist. As all of our Associate Faculty, Esther has gone through a careful selection process with TIA and will remain under the direction of our director.
Esther is currently out of the country but check back in August to enroll for fall lessons!
Elaina is super sweet, local (Federal Way), and brings to us a wealth of experience. She’s been a private teacher for years in her home studio in Federal Way, and has taught for several years in the Highline school district; elementary music and choir. She holds a Masters Degree from Lesley University and a Bachelors in Music Education from Seattle Pacific University.
Elaina teaches voice, beginning ukulele and guitar, and beginning piano.
